A well renowned Cutting Tool Manufacturer is seeking to recruit a Senior Design Engineer to join their established Design Team based at their Flagship manufacturing facility in Coventry. Our client is proud of their manufacturing expertise, producing high performance cutting tools to multiple sectors worldwide.

The Senior Design Engineer will be working on the design of bespoke cutting tools to suit a wide range of customer requirements, ensuring every tool meets customer and quality standards.

In addition to providing exceptional design, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to mentor and train new designer engineers. As our client continues to grow, the Senior Design Engineer role will have more emphasis placed on developing and leading new designers, along with providing technical support within new and existing customers.

Senior Design Engineer – Key Responsibilities:

• Ability to produce cutting tool drawings, from concept to manufacture.
• Work with the technical team to problem solve and offer cost effective customer solutions.
• A pivotal role in training and growing the design team.
• Perform tolerance analysis to ensure high quality robust design.
• Provide a key role in supporting multiple projects from concept through to manufacture.
• Potential for Key Account support dependant on previous experience.

Senior Design Engineer – Requirements:

• Strong cutting tool design and application experience.
• Competent using 2D CAD. 3D would be desirable.
• Able to draw, read and interpret complex engineering drawings.
• Able to work to deadlines and deliver results within a fast-moving, quality conscious manufacturing business.
• Enjoy working in a ‘hands on’ role where you will be an integral part of the technical department.

Senior Design Engineer is offering Circa. £40,000 basic salary plus excellent benefits for the successful candidate. This is a day position, 39 hours per week, with flexibility to meet the needs of the business.
