Lead Designer

Offering Circa. £35,000 – £40,000 basic salary plus benefits

Location: Harrogate

Our client is an established UK furniture manufacturer, offering bespoke solutions, supporting the Hospitality, Property development and Private sector. Due to continued growth, our client is currently recruiting a Lead Designer to join their team based in Harrogate, North Yorkshire.

Reporting to the Design Director, the successful candidate will work as an integral part of the design team. As Lead Designer, you will be hands-on in designing and delivering a variety of furniture designs, varying in size and complexity, including hotel case goods, reception counters, bars, kitchens and bedroom furniture.

Lead Designer – Role

• Design and develop schemes from initial concept through to production / manufacture and onsite installation.
• Using SolidWorks to create 3D production / manufacturing drawings.
• Support and liaise with our client’s production and manufacturing team to ensure designs can be manufactured to required specification.
• Attend site meetings alongside the sales & project management team.

Lead Designer – Experience & Skills Required

• Strong furniture design skills and experience.
• Experience using SolidWorks and have the ability to communicate design concepts using 2D sketches.
• Be able to produce production drawings, BOM, schedules and manufacturing information for client approval and production.
• Be well organised and committed, able to work to deadlines and manage a number of projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
• Good organisational skills with the ability to multitask / prioritise workload with colleagues.
• Ability to use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Full UK driving licence.

The Lead Designer position is offering Circa. £35,000 – £40,000 basic salary plus benefits, including free parking. This position is full-time, permanent, working Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm onsite in Harrogate.
