Our client is an established software provider based in West Yorkshire. They are currently recruiting an experienced Database Administrator to join their UK DBA team. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to work in a fast moving and growing organisation, with highly talented colleagues and an impressive list of clients.
The successful DBA must be familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Must rely on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Must be able to perform a variety of tasks with little to no supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.
Database Administrator – Key Responsibilities:
- Ability to administer, maintain, develop and implement policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of the company
- Be able to implement data models and database designs, data access and table maintenance codes; resolves database performance issues, database capacity issues, replication, query optimisation and other distributed data
- Coordinate with work teams and provide technical support to project team members. Able to provide consultation on complex projects and is considered to be a top-level contributor/specialist.

Database Administrator – Experience, Knowledge and Skills:
- Proven hands-on MS SQL DBA experience, ideally from SQL 2000 upwards.
- High level of technical capability including database interrogation, Complex SQL scripting, maintenance, and proactive identification/resolution.
- Background in providing DBA services for external customer utilisation in a SaaS environment ideal.
- Demonstrable experience in providing proactive customer support, maintenance, investigation and
- Ideally, have worked in a customer focused B2B (Business to Business) environment with good understanding of customer requirements/market.
- Committed to providing outstanding customer service (internally & externally).
- Have excellent problem-solving skills, highly organised, experienced in managing workload and delivering effectively and
