Logistics Director – North England
Offering £85,000 – £90,000 Basic Salary plus Bonus & Benefits

Our client is an established Bulk Haulage Specialist with a proven history of providing a variety of transportation solutions to customers throughout the UK. Our client is currently recruiting a Logistics Director who will drive change into the business to generate value through driving efficiency. The business does not need radical change, but it does need a leader with passion to create a performance culture, someone who wants to get into the detail, to squeeze out the opportunities and drive margin.

Logistics Director – Key Responsibilities
• Management and leadership of the Logistics senior team – developing productive working relationships with colleagues and senior reports, monitoring the performance of senior staff, ensuring that key business information is communicated effectively.
• Have full responsibility for O Licence ensuring the fleet operates to a high standard of compliance and safety and provides market leading customer service.
• Build on the strong client relationships that exist, to identify new growth areas. Ensuring that products and services are delivered to meet client specifications, continually improving operational performance, customer service and corporate image.
• Create a performance culture with weekly and monthly reporting on KPI’s to leverage margin.
• Develop and implement operational plans, encouraging innovation and managing risk.
• Full £15m+ P&L accountability, achieving budgets and forecasts that ensures the business remains market leading in terms of safety, service and profit.
• Raise the profile of Environmental, Social and Governance in the business and plan for new vehicle technologies.

Logistics Director – Candidate
• An experienced Senior Manager / Director with a proven track record of managing and leading a successful bulk haulage operation.
• Detailed knowledge of CPC in a transport environment, with an in depth understanding of O Licence compliance and transport legislation.
• The Logistics Director will be confident taking a ‘hands-on’ approach to achieving business unit targets and objectives.
• Have a high degree of commercial acumen and a desire to win work and maintain effective, close client relationships.
• Have strong leadership and motivational skills with a high degree of personal integrity.
• Be able to identify opportunities and implement change.
• Have an in-depth awareness of business finance, having previously been responsible for full £10m+ P&L of logistics operation.

The Logistics Director position is offering £85,000 – £90,000 Basic Salary plus Excellent Benefits including Bonus, Car Allowance & Private Health for the successful candidate.
